Rope, not tape.
Set it and forget it.

Polytape flaps, fades, and breaks. Bayco rope with stainless steel wire woven on the surface delivers the pulse over hundreds of metres — and does it for years without repairs.

Why Bayco rope is better

bolt
01

Stainless steel wire on the surface

Stainless steel wire (0.4–0.6 mm) is woven on the outside of the Bayco rope — not a core. The wire sits on the surface, conducts reliably and does not corrode. Polytape conductors are thinner and less durable.

UV & weather protection

UV-resistant polyester fibres protect the rope from sun, frost and moisture. The Bayco rope lasts 5–10 years without colour loss — tape fades after 1–2 seasons.

Horse-appropriate & safe

Round, flexible rope absorbs impacts and significantly reduces injury risk compared to steel wire. Horses can clearly see it and respect it — fewer escapes.

Installation in 4 steps

01

Set posts

Install wood or plastic posts at 6–8 m spacing. Reinforce corner posts.

02

Mount insulators

Screw M6 round insulators to each post at the desired height.

03

Thread the rope

Unroll the rope from the spool and thread through the insulators. Do not over-tension.

04

Tension & connect

Tension to ~3–5 kg using wire strainers. Secure ends with connecting clamps.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is fence rope visible enough for horses?+

Yes. Horses can clearly see the rope, especially in good light. It is recommended to run multiple strands (typically 2–3 lines) to maximise visibility.

Can fence rope be mounted on existing posts?+

Yes, with the appropriate insulators (M6 round insulators or 6mm screw type), rope can be attached to almost any post — wood, metal, or plastic.

How does rope resistance compare to tape?+

Bayco fence rope achieves 130–320 Ω/100m (depending on model). Polytape typically ranges from 700–1,500 Ω/100m. Lower resistance means less voltage loss over long distances.

Which diameter should I choose — 2 mm or 4 mm?+

2 mm suits shorter fences and paddocks up to ~500 m. 4 mm is recommended for long fence runs, paddocks with many corners, or sections under high mechanical load.

At what height should the strands be run?+

For horses, 3 strands are recommended: bottom at ~50 cm, middle at ~90 cm, top at ~120–130 cm from the ground. Exact height depends on breed and use.
